About

What makes tallhatDesign different?

We always focus on our client’s audience.
We think very carefully about how to communicate with them, whether it’s selling products or providing information. We keep things simple and clear wherever possible; web audiences rarely spare any time for gimmicks and complexity. In most cases we have mere seconds to ‘hook’ a potential customer.

We make sure brand, marketing strategy and visual design fit together beautifully.
We also understand web technologies, their strengths and weaknesses. Which platform to use in which case. When to build bespoke, and when to save time and cost by choosing ‘off-the-shelf’. We always aim to provide websites which can be directly updated by the client at some level, whether it’s a full content management system or a simple bolt-on ‘blog’.

We have created and managed many major web projects, right across the spectrum from pure branding, marketing and content, to ecommerce solutions, to client publishing systems. We’re happy consulting, designing, producing or project managing, and we’re always happy to talk about new projects and opportunities and provide quotes for specific projects.

Our focus is front-end design and we’re confident we can make your brand and products stand out from the crowd. And our marketing agency background means we’ll be aiming to improve sales or conversions at all times.

Experience counts – we’ve worked with a variety of blue chips: Orange, DHL, BBC, Peugeot, Guinness, adidas, HSBC, Lloyds TSB, Microsoft, The British Tourist Authority, MEB, Barclays Bank, UEFA… but we’re equally happy developing new brands for the SME market. More about who we work with…

We’ve been running tallhatDesign since 2001 and have a roster of happy and long term clients. Please have a look at our work examples: web design, branding, marketing and content. We also have a selection of examples which have been produced for other agencies so we’re not able to show them publicly here, but please do get in touch…
